The other night we rented a couple of movies: Like Water for Chocolate, which I saw in high school, I think, and Lone Star, which I'd wanted to see since high school. I remember seeing a preview for it at some movie at the Drexel and it looked really intriguing. I didn't know who Chris Cooper was at the time. Anyway the movie was good.

I think I'm getting closer to employment. And I'm going to send in for my big loan to pay for school.

Back in St. Paul, still looking for a job. I need one soon.

Kate's graduation was all right, no nonsense. I recognized some people in the crowd. The gym has air conditioning now, amazingly.

Good food and just hanging out with family. Ted flew in too, and two sets of uncles and aunts came from Paducah. My cousin is going to OSU this fall and was apartment searching.

Now I want a nintendo or playstation 2. I'm only thinking about entertainment, not about real work (this summer or beyond). What to do, and how.

I want to get a mac for this fall. The other day we were at the Mall of America and they had an apple store that was really beautiful (is it wrong to find a computer store beautiful?). It was all bright and nicely displayed, and they had these gigantic flat-screen monitors. (I have since found out they're wicked expensive.) I sort of want the big desktop G4, but I probably should go with the more economical iMac. This is assuming I get a full student loan, and that I get a job this summer that actually leaves me with a little more money than I started out this summer.

Yesterday Shannon and I saw Finding Nemo which was very cute and entertaining. Today we are looking at temp agencies.

This weekend I'll be home for my sister's high school graduation.
