No one's called about jobs yet. Thursday night we had some of Shannon's friends over for dinner.
Yesterday we saw
Down with Love which I really liked. And we looked at computers because we're both thinking of buying one eventually.

Shannon and I walked up and down Grand on Sunday to get applications at places where we might want to work. Tomorrow we're going to walk it again to turn them in. Last night we also saw the new Matrix movie, which was pretty cool.
We went grocery shopping and I bought a cheap pair of shoes at Target.
I sort of miss having a computer, but not having one just makes the days seem longer and more eventful, which is actually a good thing.

I moved out of my apartment in Toledo and came up to St. Paul last Saturday. Sunday was Shannon's graduation. Her family came up. I also got to see her senior show before it came down.
We went down to Shannon's hometown in Iowa because she had an interview with her high school on Wednesday. Within two hours of it, she had become a new art teacher there! So that's what she'll be doing this coming year instead of the Peace Corps. It's very exciting - she's wanted to teach there since she got into art education.
We're looking for jobs in our neighborhood. We live on a street that's hopping with shops. I don't think we'll have trouble finding jobs per se, just maybe not good ones.
Our apartment is really great. It's a lot bigger than I was expecting, and we're all moved in and it's comfortable. It'd be a nice place to live for a long time, not just for the summer (although winter could be dreadful - but I'll never know).

I graduated on Saturday; my parents come up for it and we went out to lunch. Then we moved most of my stuff out of my apartment and took it down to Columbus. Yesterday we also went out to eat (Kate too of course) for Mother's Day. Now I'm organizing my stuff as well as my computer before I leave for the summer (to St. Paul to live with Shannon).
I don't really feel like reflecting too much right now but I'll just say that it feels good to be done, and things are certainly looking up.

Shannon got here on Tuesday night. Wednesday she had to put up with me going to my last classes and doing some last-week schoolwork, but we had a good time the rest of the week. She got to see my show. Friday she came to my printmaking critique and later we went to the Splendid Pages show at the museum. I still like that show a lot. Yesterday we went to the Lake Erie Center to look at the student work there and to get a glimpse of the muddy waters of Lake Erie. Later in the day Arturo had a party for us graduating printmakers at his house. I had my first turkey burger.
Sorry to condense a week into one paragraph, but I'm not feeling really articulate. Shannon left this morning, and this afternoon I went to see
The Quiet American. I liked it, but maybe I should have read the book first. I think I appreciated
The End of the Affair more for having read it (or maybe that's why that movie wasn't the greatest, to me).
