So. Last weekend I went home for a wedding of a family friend, which was very cool. The ceremony lasted less than 10 minutes, but the party afterwards lasted many hours. That's a great ratio for wedding celebrations. My family got our portrait taken since it's been about five years since the last one and no one looks the same anymore (even my dad, the ageless wonder, has more gray in his beard). I got to hang out with my family and some friends of my brother (whom I suppose I can call my friends too - friends once removed).

I also went home for Independence Day and just got back today. I helped my dad spread mulch for about an hour, but otherwise I was quite lazy all weekend. My sister got a sweet new keyboard. I watched Woody Allen's Celebrity, which was mostly terrible. I guess the only Woody Allen movie I really liked was Sweet and Lowdown, but then, I've only seen a handful.

I finished reading A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius last week. I think the reason I don't read as much as I'd like to is because the books I'm trying to read don't go down as smoothly as that one; they're more dense or convoluted than that. That's not to say I didn't like it, which I really did.

I'm listening to 60 Watt Silver Lining, which just came in the mail. I couldn't believe that someone sold it to me for $5 (including shipping)!
