Days 4-8 (?)

Hello. This might be a long post, as I've barely had time to write in this thing. I've been taking lots of pictures but the text has yet to be written. So here goes:

After lunch with Anne on day 3, we went to Shannon's friend Sarah's apartment and went swimming. Then we went to her friends Debbie and Lorri's apartment near downtown St. Paul where we spent the next three nights (see kitchen photo in Shannon's post below). The next day Lorri went with Shannon and me to walk downtown by the farmers' market because we're interested in these artists' apartments right next to it. On the way we saw some of the new Peanuts statues.



We also saw a giant sandcastle that Shannon built with her bare hands.



That day we also went to a graduation party for Lorri at her aunt's house, and then we came back to play games like Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy. The next day we saw Anne again; we watched two short films she made, one fictional called "Duets" and the other a documentary about a dog training school, which previously unbeknownst to me featured one of my 30-second songs over the end credits. Anne took us to meet her boyfriend at Augsburg (sp?) in Minneapolis, and we had watermelon there.



That was Sunday I think. Monday morning we went out to Afton, MN, to see Joanna at her cool little countryish house. She took us to a park/river nearby. Then we came back to St. Paul to have lunch with Shannon's former roommate Rae.

We took off for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and on the way stopped at the Jolly Green Giant.
